You’re nestled halfway up the Ortiz Mountains, surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views and the peaceful stillness of the high desert. The golden glow of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains stretches across the horizon, while the historic Turquoise Trail winds below, steeped in the charm of the Old West.
Staying in the luxurious Hacienda Doña Andrea de Santa Fe, a 13,000-square-foot Grand Adobe estate set on 60 private acres. With sprawling courtyards, handcrafted woodwork, and warm, sun-drenched interiors, every corner is designed to make you feel pampered and inspired.
Painting shoulder to shoulder with me and 9 other creative Dabblers, sharing laughter, ideas, and stories while we create two completely unique masterpieces inspired by the rich textures and colors of Santa Fe.
It’s a 4-day getaway like none other!
What Will We Do Each Day?
Day 1: We’ll kick off by exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Santa Fe, where you’ll capture incredible reference photos of adobe villages, rolling desert hills, and the dramatic light that has inspired artists for generations—photos that will fuel your creativity for years to come.
Day 2: We’ll begin your first painting, a group project designed to teach you essential techniques. I’ll guide you step by step through color mixing, layering, and brushwork, so you can create a beautiful mountain-inspired scene. I’ll be painting alongside you and providing one-on-one help to make sure your painting shines.
Day 3: You get to choose whatever painting you want to do. Whether it's inspired by the Santa Fe Mountains, aspen trees, local wildlife, or a scene you've been dreaming of, I'll be there to help you every step of the way. With my guidance, you'll transform your vision into a painting you'll be proud to take home.
By the end of our four days together, you’ll have two stunning, one-of-a-kind paintings to treasure—artwork worthy of a collector’s wall! More than that, you’ll gain the confidence and skills to keep creating long after the retreat ends.

Once you’re finished, Matt will use his one-of-a-kind techniques to package and ship your paintings home for you.
You won’t have to worry about trying to get it through airport checkpoints or into the overhead compartments (Ah! Can you imagine! How awful!)
You’ll fly home with peace of mind knowing your paintings will arrive safe and sound in just a couple of days!

We’ll pick you up from the airport and shuttle you in style

Our private chef will prepare and cook each meal.
